We provide a direct link to a structured business angel investor network.

   • For investors to provide an opportunity to see a wide range of businesses that are
     investment ready that are seeking capital in return for their investors participation in the
     equity of the business

   • Providing access to businesses seeking funding of £100,000 - £2 million. As the
     investment is often coming from individuals this means that they can share their
     business expertise and contacts to the business – a value beyond mere money

   • For larger amounts and specialist funding the forum will provide directions for private 
     placements, venture capital funding, flotation’s, asset finance and banking assistance

HOW IT WORKS

 A multi-pronged approach is used to introduce investors to investees and to give them
the Technical support to be able to successfully complete their investment:         

   • A database of investors and businesses requiring funding is maintained by the      
     secretariat for the SIF. This is used to match the needs of both investors and        
     businesses seeking funding as run by the UK’s largest angel funding specialist

   • Each proposal put forward is pre-vetted in order to ensure their investors see opportunities  
     that have true merit and that the business seeking funding has a clear commercial focus.
     A list of founder members of the forum is attached to assist you

   • Regular events will be provided for investee business to present to registered investors    
     to promote their opportunity and for investors to meet and develop commercial
     links with those in attendance

   • Between the events the secretariat will provide a link to provide direct introductions   
     of opportunities to investors that relate to the referred area of investment and need that
     they are interested in

  • It is often the case that investors and investees like to be within 50 miles or a one hour
    drive of each other. This means that they can have a closer and in some cases a more
    effective working relationship. This is why the emphasis of the forum is based on Suffolk 
    investors and Suffolk businesses

   • This will provide for a 3 week period preference to Suffolk investors to be able to meet    
     and discuss the opportunities available in Suffolk. After this period the opportunities will
     be promoted nationwide

   • Though the nationwide link Suffolk investors will also have the opportunity to see
     businesses seeking funding relating to their particular area of expertise that may be
     outside Suffolk or complementary to their Suffolk operations
