The Suffolk Investors Forum have teamed up with Beer & Partners Limited, the largest, and
Certainly the most active, private equity advisor group in the uk, helping a wide range of 
investors, private, corporate and institutional, to find suitable investment opportunities.

Beers is approached by about 1,500 businesses each year, looking for equity funding; of 
these only about 10% are accepted by us as clients. Usually they have been referred by our
professional contacts among banks, accountants and solicitors. These potential investment
opportunities cover the full spectrum of sectors and stages of development. Our coverage has
expanded recently to cover most parts of the country. Our objective is expand and strengthen
these opportunities in suffolk.

Risk capital needs range from several thousands to several millions. Smaller businesses 
often seek the active involvement - normally part-time - of the investor in helping them to 
grow. To ensure the quality of the opportunities we will be encouraging the introduction of
investment propositions via local professionals who have helped to ensure that the proposal
is investor ready. Before approaching any investor, Beer will conduct a further review of the
business plan to ensure that any major weaknesses are identified, and that there is the 
potential for a sensible "deal" with an investor. Beers comprises a mix of industry specialists,
accountants and bankers, all with experience of the funding needs of smaller companies.
Most of the team have experience, as principal, of equity investment so we do understand the
needs of investors.

we will be providing opportunities for Investors to meet Investee businesses in the Suffolk area
through a series of Investment Forums and personal contact. Regular investor meetings, help
to encourage networking with other investors in a relaxed atmosphere as well as to see 
Investees in action. Preference will be given to Suffolk Investors, in that, Suffolk opportunities
will be promoted to Suffolk investors prior to their information being made known to the nation
wide network. For opportunities that become available between Forum Events we will contact
you directly by telephone or e:mail using a focused approach designed to meet your 
investment criteria with the needs of the investee business. We also send a Stop Press,
(every 2-3 weeks) to the investors, showing some of the more interesting proposals coming
across our desks. From time to time we will circulate our Private List - a complete update on
all our clients.

We do not undertake due diligence and this is entirely a matter for the investor; nor do we 
provide investment advice to either investor or to our investee client. We can however 
recommend accountants and solicitors whom we know have the right experience to provide
suitable advice if required. We assume that all of "our" investors fully understand the risk
involved in unquoted investments. We owe investors a duty of care, and of course any 
material produced by us will have passed the "S57" tests, but our prime responsibility is to
the Investee. Unlike most of the "Angel Network", we do not ask for fees from investors, 
since these are borne by the Investee. Instead we ask that investors:

          1.      React promptly to any investment proposals put before them and keep us 
                   informed of their changing investment needs.
          2.      Keep us up to date with any subsequent negotiations with our client - we 
                   do not want to interfere with these unless problems arise.
          3.      Have at least £50.000 risk capital immediately available. We may ask for 
                   proof of this in order to protect the Investee.
